What does Faith Look Like?

Apr 19, 2026    Pastor Ken Hitte

Same Jesus. Same moment. Same undeniable power… but completely different responses.

In the garden, when Jesus says, “I am He,” soldiers fall to the ground. His power is undeniable. His authority is unmatched. And yet—they still get up and arrest Him. Because seeing power isn’t the same as having faith.

Week three of He Is I Am wrestles with a challenging truth: the same presence of Jesus that can shake the ground beneath you still won’t force you to believe. Faith isn’t about what you witness—it’s about how you respond.

While the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus steps in with something entirely different—life, truth, and a way forward. But that life isn’t automatic. It’s chosen. It’s lived. It’s practiced.

So what does faith actually look like?

It looks like trusting when you don’t understand.

It looks like obedience when it’s uncomfortable.

It looks like staying surrendered when you’d rather take control.

Because in the end, faith isn’t just recognizing who Jesus is…

It’s responding to Him like it’s true.
